DSU Returns!

We’re back! I’ve given up the Ning network (the template was old and out of date anyway) and migrated our classroom and chat spaces over to Facebook. I’m hoping that having our events, chats, discussions and homework on a platform everybody is already logged into all day long anyway, will help with participation in our classes.

We’ll use the blog here for class announcements, and our homework and class discussions will take place over in the Facebook groups that are part of the Dark Side University Facebook page.

You’ll probably want to join the Dark Side University Scholars Group and the Dark Side University Book Club. Just for fun, we have a student-run group called The Bat & Hatchet – a nice casual place to get to know other DSU students.

If you don’t have a whole month to take a class right now, try out our week-long classes over at Dark Side University’s Summer School. They’re abbreviated versions of our main classes, edited into manageable chunks you can explore in just one hour per evening.

As I re-launch Dark Side University, you’ll see a lot of repeat classes from years past. I’ll freshen them up with updated links and news, new content and perhaps some new instructors to guide us on those topics. This is a great chance to pick up where you left off, complete courses you always intended to, and for new DSU students to check out some of our month-long (free!) classes.

Bear with me as we get used to the new platform, the new way of doing things, and our new system for including video, live video, audio podcasts, and daily posts into our routine!

Welcome back! I can’t wait to explore more dark topics with you.
